1. Wash rice thoroughly with cold water.
2. Place 1 cup of rice in a pot with 1½ cups of lightly salted water.
3. Bring to the boil, then simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes with the lid on.
4. Then let it rest for 10 minutes. Don't stir.
