The SHENGYAO Oil Spicy Hotpot Base 200G is a traditional Chinese seasoning paste with strong spiciness and typical Szechuan flavors. Ideal as a soup base for hotpot dishes, it gives your broth an intense, spicy-hot note thanks to fermented beans, Szechuan pepper, ginger and chili oil.

Preparation:

  1. Dissolve 1-2 tablespoons of the hotpot base in 1 liter of water or stock and bring to the boil.
  2. Slice the beef thinly and add it to the hot broth along with the tofu, bok choy, shiitake mushrooms and glass noodles.
  3. Cook at the table as desired and enjoy straight away.

🍲 Vegetarian hotpot with tofu and vegetables

Preparation:

  1. Bring 2 tablespoons of seasoning paste to the boil in a pot with 1.5 liters of water or vegetable stock.
  2. Add tofu cubes, broccoli, carrots, Chinese cabbage, enoki mushrooms and glass noodles.
  3. Simmer gently for about 5-10 minutes and serve hot.
